Meet Lorraine Thorpe, a certified Home Health Aide, (HHA) at Westchester Family Care Inc. (WFC). We congratulate Sherry for having recently been honored as WFC Caregiver of the Month for her outstanding home care services. Lorraine has been an in-home caregiver for 20+ years.

You might say that home care and caregiving are in Lorraine’s DNA. Lorraine’s sister is a licensed HHA, and they both grew up under their mother’s loving care because Mom, too, has been a caregiver. To bring the story all the way around and back home, Lorraine and her sister take turns taking care of Mom who today is in her senior years and needs personal care herself.

In her decades-long career, Lorraine has always considered it a pleasure to take care of people. Not surprisingly, she’s been administering her brand of loving caregiving in every healthcare venue in the business – assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities as well as in hospital settings. 

Lorraine has decided to exclusively work one-on-one with clients in their home settings because of the security and safety that arrangement offers. Living through the COVID pandemic helped to confirm her decision. Plus, WFC has fulfilled her request to works as a live-in caregiver, and she feels grateful to have settled in with specific clients.
